She who loves to travel
Nicki called me a few weeks ago to book a portrait session for her and her handsome fellow ‘Dibble’ at home in Rochdale, Manchester.
I traveled up and met with Nicki at her newly finished home on Tuesday morning. After I had a really good rummage through Nicki’s wardrobe, picking outfits (one of my favourite past times) and walking around her beautiful home to get a feeling of where we could display the images from the shoot, we headed over the hill (3 minutes away) to the yard, where Dibble was waiting with baited breath and on strict instructions to keep his white socks, WHITE!
Although the weather looked a little dicey, and indeed the wind was forecast to come in with intensity for the evening, the sunshine came out in all its glory for us, creating some beautiful and dramatic skies. We shot together for a couple of hours covering some of Nicki’s favourite spots in this very special location. There were wild horses and foals, rolling countryside and views that go on for miles.
Now, normally I schedule a client to visit my studio a couple of weeks after their shoot, but because of the travel involved in a further afield shoot, I create a bespoke package. I edited the gorgeous collection of images I captured through the afternoon/evening and met up again with Nicki on Wednesday morning to reveal them. I had my sample frames, prints, books and mounts with me, and after a couple of hours, Nicki and I had created stunning pieces to display her favourite shots of her with her charming man to love forever.
If you’re thinking of having this once in a lifetime experience, and you are quite far away, don’t let that put you off! I am often traveling to France, Jersey, Germany and across the UK, creating these special packages just for you!
