I’m Hannah Freeland, an equestrian portrait artist with a deep love for honest moments, natural light, and the quiet bond between horse and human.
For the last 18 years, I’ve worked with passionate riders, devoted parents, and families who live a life centered around horses, and want to remember it, not just with pictures, but with art.
My approach is different by design. I use one lens, one camera, and no lights. No big production, just presence, softness, and attention. Every shoot is a collaboration: a Vogue-level experience without the noise. We’ll work with what’s already perfect, your land, your horse, your story – and I’ll guide the rest.
I design each session so you feel safe, seen, and celebrated. I bring a stylist’s eye, a calm presence, and a full-service experience from planning to framed artwork. You don’t need to worry about a thing. Just show up, and I’ll take care of the beauty that follows.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me in the countryside, journaling with coffee in hand, riding, or chasing the perfect light (even if it’s just across the kitchen floor).
If you’ve ever looked at an editorial photograph and thought, I wish I could have that for myself – you can. And I’d be honoured to create it for you.
