Loretta and Valentino – Sunrise and Sunset

When Im commissioned overseas there is an extra spring in my step, I adore travelling and seeing new places. This time I headed to Dubai to spend some very special time capturing the beautiful relationship between Loretta and her main man Valentino. Oh boy, does this horse stand up to his name.

He’s absolutley full of charm and grace, a true gentle giant.

Loretta had had Valentino for just over 6 months when we did this shoot, I met him on my first trip to Dubai and he had literally just landed and was settling in. I cannot tell you the difference these 6 months made. He’s filled out, built muscle and has completely fallen in love with his new owner (as you can see the feeling is very much mutual).

After choosing outfits, we decided to shoot at sunrise and sunset. Due to the heat in Dubai this not only gave me the best possible light but would also be the most comfortable time for both Valentino and Loretta.

I cannot tell you how amazing it is to photograph as the sun rises in Dubai. The warmth is already there but as the orange glow appears over the palm trees it’s something you cannot replicate anywhere.

I worked quickly and calmly to make sure that neither Loretta or her boy got uncomfortable in the heat and had a blast on the shoot.

We went for a variety of outfits, from smart showing jackets, jodhpurs, long boots and hair back to jeans, jacket and then shirt.

We finished the shoot with Loretta’s daughter, her pony (who had a separate shoot, check out the next blog) her husband (Nad) and their 2 doggo’s. Such an incredible shoot and I cannot wait to go back and add to their collection.
